Cook serves up share of spoils

Alan Cook's second-half equaliser helped Airdrie to a 1-1 draw at Falkirk, who are still looking for their first home win of the season.

It was the home side who took the lead 10 minutes before the break, David Lilley fouling Sean Higgins in the area, and Stewart Murdoch stepped up to place his penalty into the bottom left corner.

Airdrie grabbed an equaliser after 67 minutes, when Cook slotted in from close range after good work by Nathan Blockley.

Both sides had chances to win it. First Jamie Bain drilled his shot wide 15 minutes from time and with only three minutes remaining, Stephen Kingsley's inswinging corner found Darren Dods but he headed straight at Kenny Arthur from six yards.
