Crawford at the double

Stephen Crawford's double gave Forfar their first league win of the season as they beat Airdrie 3-2 at Station Park.

Crawford headed Martyn Fotheringham's cross past Airdrie goalkeeper Paul McKane to give the hosts the lead after 11 minutes, before midfielder Jamie Stephenson equalised for the away side with an impressive left-foot strike.

Airdrie then took the lead thanks to Sean Lynch's tidy finish before Crawford's right-footed effort levelled the scores two minutes before half-time.

Fotheringham scored the match-winning goal halfway through the second half, volleying home Greg Ross' neat pass.

That win Dick Campbell's team up to seventh in the Irn-Bru Second Division while Airdrie are without a league win since the opening day.
